The Road to Heaven…

If heaven had a road, the road to Hana would be it! Hana is a wonderful peaceful town on the southern coast of Maui. It’s only 60 miles from where we are at, but it took 3 hours to get there! The road is tiny and winds around mountainous terrain and through rain forests. I hope these images show the wonder and beauty of today.:)

Snorkeling in a Coral Reef!

I am sooo afraid of drowning in ANY body of water! But today, I jumped into the ocean and snorkeled amongst the fish. Granted I had a death grip on Derek for the first 30 minutes, but then I relaxed and enjoyed the amazing view! Below are some of the images from our trip.

Hi there. You got very nice pictures. Btw, you can send my pics on this email.

The Chill Capital of the World

So we just got back from Lahainai which I am anointing "The Chill Capital of the World." Everyone is so nice and laid back. We came across a group of beautiful girls making flower garlands for Mother’s Day to raise money for a trip to Australia. I snapped some shots and asked if they wanted me to email them the pictures, they said that they didn’t have email! Can you believe that? Wow, if I lived in Maui I may not have email either. You’d probably find me at the beach soaking up some sun…you just can never get enough!:)

They are like your garlands =)

The one thing I was the most excited about seeing in Maui were whales. Today I saw a mommy and baby whale during a cruise with the Pacific Whale Foundation. Below are some of the shots I got…it was magical seeing these majestic creatures in real life!
